Our Barn Quilt Project !!

Inspired by the barn quilt trails in other areas, the Paisley Agricultural Society is working with the South Bruce Community Business Association to establish a Bruce County Barn Quilt Trail. We are optimistic that we will be ‘on the map’ with the Ontario Barn Quilt Trail Network this Fall. Watch for more information about this project in the coming months. If you are interested in having an 8’x8’ barn quilt on your property and being part of the Bruce County Barn Quilt Trail, please contact us!

This Year at the Fair
We are introducing a new class at the Fair this year – Barn Quilts! Bonnie Dopfer will be our Artist in Residence, sharing information about creating barn quilts. Come visit with her at the Fair and look for our barn quilt display in the Entertainment Tent. If you are interested in entering a project in the Fair, please look in the Exhibitors Prize List (available at Paisley Freshmart) on pages 12 and 13 to see the criteria and classes.

The Paisley Path
In our own area, we know that not everyone has the space for a very large barn quilt. We’re planning a ‘Paisley Path’ that will include a variety of outdoor agricultural art starting with barn quilt folk art in a variety of sizes. An online map for the Paisley Path will be developed later this year.
