Junior Competition

Open to all children and youth ages 3 to 17 years old

General Rules:

No entry fee to exhibit in the Junior Competition

To Enter

Get a free Exhibitor number from Paisley Fair secretary (call/text 519-901-0738)
Get enough entry tags at Paisley freshmart, fill in an entry tag for each of your exhibits, then fold the flap & attach it.
Complete the entry form in advance and give it to secretary when submitting your exhibits
Deliver your entries to the Palace either Friday between 1:00 – 8:30 pm or Saturday between 8:00 am – 12:00 noon
Pick your entries up at the Palace at exactly 4:30 pm Sunday
Wait for your prize money to arrive in the mail or to be delivered

Guidelines:

Do not include your name on any part of the exhibit other than on the closed portion of the entry tag
All entries must be the original work of the exhibitor
Only one entry per person per section
Judging will be done by the Junior Competition Judge
Enter only in your age category
Competitors who are in secondary school may compete in Open/Adult classes but will need an Adult Membership ($10) to do so and all other rules & regulations of those respective divisions shall apply

Best Decorated Bicycle and Rider

Categories: Boys ages 3-6; 7-10, 11-13 years and Girls ages 3-6; 7-10; 11-13 years

Best Decorated Tricycle and Rider

Categories: Boys ages 3-6 and Girls ages 3-6

Best Decorated Bicycle & Rider, ages 14 to adult

Prizes: 1st $8.00, 2nd $6.00, 3rd $4.00, all other worthy competitors $2.00

Special Prize

An additional prize to go along with above prizes, given to those riders who decorate their bicycle in the fair theme “Cornstalks & Scarecrows”.

The tractor pull takes place following the pet show on Sunday September 8th in the Kids Ring.

This is open to elementary school children weighing 40lbs to 100lbs.
Girls and boys compete together.
Register and weigh in (scales are provided) with John prior to event at the Kids Ring (approx. 1pm)

Weight classes include:
40-55 lbs, 56-70 lbs, 71-85 lbs, 86-100 lbs.

Prizes: 1st in each category receive a medallion, all participants receive a participation ribbon and $1.00

The Paisley Veterinarian Services Pet Show begins at 12:30 pm on Sunday of the fair and is open to all Public School Children. All dogs and cats must be at least 12 weeks old, have a current rabies vaccination and should be in an appropriate cage or on a leash. Prizes and cash are distributed during the competition. The classes of dogs will be in the ring together, followed by the classes of cats, followed by other pets.
